Justice Ministry rolls out 10 new e-services

AMMAN — The Justice Ministry, in cooperation with USAID’s Rule of Law Project, on Monday launched a new package of e-services for lawyers and individuals. 

Within the ministry’s 2018-2020 e-transformation plan, Justice Minister Bassam Talhouni announced that 10 e-services went live, increasing the ministry’s e-services to 43, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The newly launched services include an appointment system, expert services, seizure of bank accounts related to court decisions, a portal for following up on seized vehicles and portals for registering Notary Public proceedings, registering limited and general powers of attorney and applying for special amnesty, retrial and judicial review. 

These services fall within the government’s 2019-2020 priorities to digitise legal processes, saving time and effort while also enhancing transparency and equal opportunity, Talhouni said.
