AMMAN — Jordanian non-governmental organisation Generations For Peace (GFP) has maintained its global ranking for the second year in a row on the Geneva-based “thedotgood” organisation’s World Top 200 Social Good Organisations, placing 25th among the top 200.

GFP, a non-profit organisation founded and chaired by HRH Prince Feisal, has been implementing programmes in Jordan and beyond since 2007. Its mission is to transform conflicts into sustainable peace at the grassroots level.

In a statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the organisation emphasised its continued leadership as the best charitable social organisation in the Arab world, noting that GFP is also ranked third globally on thedotgood’s list of organisations specialising in peacebuilding.

Prince Feisal said that this achievement affirms the significant role of GFP in creating positive change in communities. He praised the dedicated teams, volunteers and partners who support the organisation's efforts.

Furthermore, Prince Feisal noted that this accomplishment serves as international recognition of GFP's “exceptional efforts” to provide a space for young men and women seeking change in Jordan and worldwide.

He also highlighted the organisation's work that focuses on empowering individuals with the tools they need to build responsible citizenship and foster the values of peace, which are “greatly needed in today's world”.

The prince emphasised GFP's commitment to its mission of peacebuilding and its dedication to expanding the scope of its programmes to meet the unique needs of the communities it serves, noting that the organisation strives to ensure that its programmes have a sustainable and lasting impact.

Jean-Christophe Nothias, the editor of thedotgood’s list, commended GFP as a leading global organisation and praised its determination to inspire and support young people in leading social change through the promotion of values such as tolerance, acceptance and trust.

Nothias highlighted the GFP’s continuous focus on innovation, experimentation and evaluation, which contributes to the expansion of successful projects and initiatives.
