Jordan’s first professional diver with Down syndrome honoured

AMMAN — Minister of Youth Mohammed Al Nabulsi on Sunday honoured Jordan’s first professional diver with Down syndrome Aya Mukhaimer, as part of the “Al Hadab” initiative. The ministry supports the initiative aimed to enhance social inclusion of persons with disabilities in tourism marketing.
Nabulsi, in a statement reported by the Jordan New Agency, Petra, expressed the ministry’s readiness to provide all forms of support for the initiative, noting that the inclusion of people with Down syndrome is one of the ministry’s priorities. Mukhaimer said that she is planning to participate in tourism promotion activities by introducing Jordan’s tourist attractions.
