AMMAN — Thousands of people performed the istisqa prayer for rain, a Muslim tradition practised since the time of Prophet Mohammad, on Friday across the Kingdom due to the lack in rainfall, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Wael Arabiyat joined worshippers for the Friday prayer at Khalil Al Salim Mosque in Amman, and he urged worshippers to abide by the teachings of Islam and do good deeds.
