Jordanian forces take part in Qatar military drill

AMMAN — A Jordanian unit from the King Abdullah II Royal Special Forces Group arrived in Qatar to take part in a three-week military exercise titled “Impregnable Guard 2020", the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Saturday.
The army personnel were welcomed upon arrival in Doha by the Jordanian military attache.
The annual exercise aims to enhance military cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the participating forces and boost their maritime security.
The military exercise features naval and aerial live fire shootings, free jumping and securing territorial waters, Petra said.
Jordan is taking part in the drill this year along with armed forces from Turkey, Oman, Pakistan, Morocco and Qatar, Petra reported.
