Jordanian field hospital in north Gaza commences operations

AMMAN — Personnel of the Jordanian field hospital in North Gaza began receiving patients in the Gaza Strip Tuesday, providing medical and therapeutic services in continuation of the Royal directives to offer help and assistance to the people in the strip.

The hospital commander said that the presence of the field hospital personnel reflects the Royal concern and care to alleviate the suffering of the people in the Gaza Strip. 

He pointed out that the medical, technical, and administrative teams started their work by receiving patients with various medical conditions, in line with the significant role played by the General Command of the Armed Forces – Arab Army and its commitment to the people in the strip.

In turn, the hospital director indicated that the medical and nursing teams consist of highly qualified personnel capable of handling various injury cases. 

On the first day, hundreds of patients and visitors were received through fully equipped clinics covering all medical specialities, providing humanitarian services around the clock.

The visitors and residents expressed their gratitude and appreciation for His Majesty King Abdullah’s stance towards the Palestinian people and their pride in the continuous efforts of the JAF and the medical and humanitarian services they provide.

The Jordanian Royal Medical Services dispatched another field hospital to the Gaza Strip, operating in Khan Younis since the escalation of events. 

The number of its visitors since its arrival on June 26 until Monday exceeded 38,000, with 292 major surgeries and 1,251 minor surgeries performed.
