AMMAN — The second conference of the Jordanian Expatriates Forum announced the launch of the "Jordanian Expatriates Investment Fund," an initiative aimed at bolstering investment and local development in the Kingdom.
The fund, unveiled as part of the celebrations marking the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah’s accession to the Throne, is expected to attract approximately JD120 million annually from Jordanian expatriates worldwide, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Mohammed Rifai, founder and head of the forum, noted that the establishment of the fund aligns with the Royal vision for engaging Jordanian expatriates in contributing to the nation’s economic growth.
Rifai described the fund as a "patriotic gesture from the forum to the nation on this significant occasion."
The conference, held at the Royal Cultural Centre, gathered Jordanian expatriates, including investors and professionals, from 44 countries.
