Jordan seeks further cooperation with Iraq

AMMAN — Trade Minister Hatem Halawani on Monday underlined the government’s commitment to developing cooperation with Iraq, especially at the economic level, and providing all means of support to Iraqis.
During a meeting with Iraqi Trade Minister Mlass Husseini and an accompanying delegation, Halawani said the Kingdom is committed to putting all its resources at the disposal of Iraq to help it overcome the difficulties it is going through.
He noted that Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour will pay a visit to Iraq soon along with government representatives to discuss means to boost bilateral cooperation.
Jordan’s exports to Iraq stood at JD648.2 million until the end of September 2013.
