AMMAN — Minister of Public Works, Housing and Minister of Transport Maher Abul Samen on Tuesday met a delegation from Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) over enhancing economic cooperation.

Abu Al Samen commended the SPD efforts in support of Jordan's project, especially in the field of infrastructure.

He expressed the ministry's keenness to enhance cooperation with the Fund, notably to introduce new development projects and ease obstacles facing the SFD-funded projects in Jordan, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Talks also went over the completed and under implementation SFD-funded projects, including King Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, which links Azraq to the Omari Jordanian- Saudi border crossing.

The minister lauded SFD's support for school buildings and health projects, noting that 53 per cent the New Princess Basma Hospital project was completed, expecting the project to finish by 2024.
