AMMAN — Jordan and Saudi Arabia on Tuesday issued a joint statement, at the conclusion of a state visit by Saudi King Salman Bin Abdelaziz to Jordan, according to the Royal Court.

The two sides signed 15 agreements a day earlier involving the public and private sectors in both countries.

In the communiqué, they agreed to enhance bilateral relations in various fields.

At the political level, the statement said, the two sides reiterated support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people's legitimate rights, at the top of which is their right to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

They also expressed their willingness to promote unified Arab and Islamic collective action and urged peaceful solutions to regional crises.
