Jordan, PLO discuss human rights, civil society issues

AMMAN — Head of the Jordanian Representation Office to Palestine Muhammad Abu Windi met with Ahmad Tamimi, a member of the Executive Committee the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO), on Thursday over issues related to the role and tasks of the human rights department at the organisation.
Abu Windi said that Jordan will continue assisting Palestine at all levels, and will not spare any effort in supporting Palestinians in their endeavours to realise independence and to establish their state with East Jerusalem as its capital, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Tamimi commended the Jordanian support to the Palestinian people and its just cause, highlighting the importance of cooperating with the relevant institutions in the Kingdom to counter Israeli violations against Palestinians and their holy sites.
