AMMAN — Foodstuff Traders Association President Khalil Hajj Tawfiq on Saturday said that India's decision to limit its exports of some types of rice will not affect the Kingdom, especially that traders do not import these types included in the decision.

Hajj Tawfiq said that India's decision bans the export of some types of rice and imposes export fees on other types, noting that the decision does not include the basmati rice that Jordan imports, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The association president pointed out that 75 per cent of the Kingdom's consumption of medium-grain rice is imported from the US and European countries.
