Jordan joins virtual event to celebrate Bangladesh's 49th Victory Day

AMMAN — Jordan on Tuesday participated in a virtual seminar organised by the Bangladeshi embassy to commemorate the country’s 49th Victory Day, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The seminar, attended by the head of the Asian Department at the Jordanian Foreign Ministry Zuhair Nsour and Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al Maliki as well as the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Abdul Momen, stressed the “distinguished” ties and continuous cooperation among participating countries.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Jordan Nahida Subhan said that the history of Bangladesh's independence is related to the leadership of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, founder of the nation, noting that the embassy is planning on holding a series of virtual seminars to highlight the leader’s life and struggles.
