Jordan expresses solidarity with Tunisia after terror attack

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Monday condemned the terrorist attack in Sousse, Tunisia, in which a police officer was killed and another was injured, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Deifallah Fayez stressed the Kingdom's solidarity with the Tunisian government and people in the fight against terrorism, voicing Jordan's stance that rejects all kinds of violence and terrorism, according to a ministry statement.
Fayez also expressed condolences to the victims' families, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
Also on Monday, President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (APU) and Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh denounced the attack and voiced the APU's solidarity with Tunisia.
Tarawneh also called on Arab countries to join efforts and intensify joint action to eliminate terrorism, Petra reported.
