Jordan condemns attack on Nigeria governor’s convoy

AMMAN — Jordan on Sunday condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the convoy of the governor of Nigeria's northeastern Borno state, which killed and wounded dozens of civilians and police officers.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Daifallah Fayez reiterated Jordan’s support to Nigeria's people and government, denouncing the terrorist attack aimed at undermining the country’s security and stability. Fayez expressed condolences to the victims’ families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The official stressed the Kingdom’s rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that target people regardless of race and religion, voicing Jordan's solidarity with Nigeria against terrorism, according to a Foreign Ministry statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
