Jordan, Armenia convene for second round of political consultations

AMMAN — Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs and Expatriates Majed Qatarneh and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan on Wednesday held the second round of political consultations. The political consultations, held in Yerevan, discussed ways to enhance the "distinguished" cooperation relations between the two countries, which have witnessed significant growth and development over the past years, according to a ministry statement. The consultations also addressed the latest developments related to regional issues, mainly the Palestinian cause, the historical and legal status quo of Jerusalem and its holy sites, and the situation in the Gaza Strip. The discussions went over means to increase cooperation and coordination, especially in the economic, tourism, ICT, artificial intelligence, education and culture sectors. The two sides also discussed ways to boost cooperation within the framework of international organisations.
