Job fair to provide 1,750 work opportunities

NAOUR — Labour Minister Nidal Katamine inaugurated a job fair on Monday in Naour District.

The two-day fair offers 1,750 seasonal and permanent jobs in the industrial, commercial and tourism sectors.

Katamine said the local labour market is difficult to control due to the increasing number of migrant workers, adding that the ministry is taking a series of measures to regulate the sector and secure employment for Jordanians through national campaigns.

Naour District Director Jamal Fayez commended the private sector’s cooperation in fighting unemployment.

A number of employees from the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities are available at the fair venue in the Ajarmeh tribal council halls to provide assistance to people with disabilities in filling job applications.
