JCD, Palestinian customs police agency sign MoU for training cooperation

AMMAN — The Jordan Customs Department (JCD) and the Palestinian Customs Police Agency on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish cooperation for customs training at the department's Regional Customs Training Centre.

JCD Director General Maj. Gen. Jalal Qudah emphasised the importance of supporting the Palestinian Customs Police, noting the Royal directives to always empower and stand by Palestinians in various fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Commander of the Palestinian Customs Police Major General Iyad Barakat hailed the JCD's assistance, which enables the Palestinian Customs Police to perform their duties effectively.

The Palestinian delegation toured the directorates of the JCD and the new Amman Customs building to learn about customs operations and the department's advanced projects aimed at improving customs services for citizens, traders and investors.
