Japanese ambassador opens Red Crescent Centre for Crisis Management

AMMAN — Japanese Ambassador Shimazaki Kaoru on Monday inaugurated the Jordan Red Crescent Centre for Crisis Management, supported by the Japanese government in partnership with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Jordan.
The centre aims to ensuring the progress of humanitarian operations in the Kingdom and enhancing communication and coordination with all relevant authorities during normal and emergency situations, in addition to detecting, analysing and evaluating risks to ensure “a quick and effective response”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Jordan National Red Crescent Society President Mohammad Hadid commended the Japanese government's assistance to the society, mainly the advance equipment for the operations room that was named "Tokyo Operations Room".
