AMMAN — The Japanese embassy in Amman on Monday signed a grant agreement with the International Orthodox Christian Charity to provide medical equipment through the Japanese Grant Assistance for Grassroots and Human Security Projects, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The grant, which was signed by the Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Hidenao Yanagi and the charity’s representative, aimed at improving medical services and providing equipment for the charity’s vision and hearing clinic at Azraq camp.
The ambassador voiced his appreciation of the charity, which started offering health services to Syrian refugees in 2017. Japan has provided $10 million for 146 NGO projects in Jordan since 1993.
