Japan offers aid to Jordanian Food Bank

AMMAN — The government of Japan on Tuesday presented a grant of $80,117 to the Jordanian Food Bank (JFB), the Japanese embassy said in a statement.
The support is offered for buying a refrigerator truck and installing storage for cooling food items at JFB’s warehouses.
Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Shuichi Sakurai and the head of the JFB, Kawthar Qatarneh, signed the grant agreement. The grant aims at improving the distribution process and increasing storage capacity, the statement added.
