Jalaad Cultural Centre inaugurated in Balqa

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Culture Minister Nabih Shuqum on Thursday inaugurated the permanent headquarters of the Jalaad Cultural Centre in Balqa Governorate, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Shuqum, accompanied by the Governor of Balqa, 35km northwest of Amman, Nayef Al Hijaya, and officials, toured the centre’s museum.
The centre’s president, Sami Hindiah, noted that the centre has established an Arab museum of fine arts, which has a collection of around 4,000 paintings, as well as galleries and venues for art exhibitions and a 500-capaicty theatre.
