AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that joint efforts with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) have resulted in evacuating nine Jordanian doctors and nurses from Gaza to the Kingdom earlier in the day.
Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah said that the doctors were working at the European Hospital in Gaza as part of a medical campaign organised under the umbrella of the Palestinian American Medical Association and the Jordanian American Physicians Association, according to a ministry statement.
Qudah added that assistance was provided in evacuating two doctors holding Egyptian nationality, one Omani doctor, one Sudanese doctor, two doctors holding US nationality, and one Australian doctor.
He said that the ministry, in cooperation with JAF, would continue the evacuation operations for Jordanian citizens residing [before the war] in Gaza or are now there and will provide all forms of assistance to ensure their security and safety, and bring them back home "as quickly as possible".
