JAF dispatches medical aid to Iraq

AMMAN — In implementation of directives by His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday directed stakeholders to dispatch a medical aid convoy to Iraq to help the country in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Brig. Gen. Hussam Haddad, director of the defence procurement at the JAF, said that the five-truck convoy contains all necessary medical equipment, which are made in the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Iraqi Ambassador in Amman Haydar Athari praised Jordan's support to Iraq.
