AMMAN — A delegation comprised of representatives from Italian institutions and businesses will converge on Amman on Monday for the Jordanian Italian Business Forum, according to a statement from the Italian embassy.

The forum, organised by the Joint Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce (JIACC) and Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) in Amman and the Embassy of Italy in Jordan, is part of celebrations marking 70 years since the establishment of Jordanian-Italian relations, the statement read.

The event will be held under the patronage of Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Tarek Hamouri, Chairman of the JCC MP Nael Kabariti, President of JIACC Cesare Trevisani and Italian Ambassador to Jordan Fabio Cassese.

Potential opportunities in Jordan for Italian investors will be discussed during the forum, the statement said, adding that these include projects dealing with infrastructure, energy, water, renewable energy, medical devices, food and agro-industry, tourism, and information and communication services.

A special section of the event will be dedicated to highlighting Jordan as a gateway to the rest of the region, with meetings planned for Jordanian, Italian and Iraqi enterprises, according to the embassy.

The statement also highlighted that a delegation of Jordanian entrepreneurs plan to take part in the “Italian Arab Business Forum” in Milan on October 17, in which Jordan will be the “guest country”.
