Issawi meets with residents of villages of Rum, Deiseh, Salhieh, Shakrieh

AMMAN — Following Royal directives, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Thursday checked on the villages of Rum, Deiseh, Salhieh and Shakrieh.
During the tour, Issawi had a firsthand look at the level of services provided to citizens in these areas and checked on the level of tourist services and tourist camps, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also met with residents and representatives of Rum villages, and listened to challenges facing the residents as well as owners of tourist camps.
Issawi also announced the formation of a technical committee, to be chaired by the tourism minister and with membership of all stakeholders.
The committee will consider all challenges facing residents in the tourist and service sectors.
The Royal Court chief also said that the committee will embark on work immediately, in consultation and coordination with the local community, before referring its recommendations and possible solutions.
