AMMAN — The government of India decided to extend “visa-on-arrival” for Jordanian tourists visiting India as of Thursday, November 27, in line with the Asian country’s “cordial and friendly relations with Jordan”, a statement by the Indian embassy in Amman said.
Jordanian nationals visiting India on tourism for recreation, sightseeing, short duration of medical treatment, or to meet friends may apply for and get their tourist visa-on-arrival online without reporting to the embassy.
Prospective Jordanian tourists will get electronic travel authorisation from the Indian authorities once their online application is approved, entitling them to enter India anytime within 30 days of the approval, the statement said.
On arrival, a visitor has to present a printout of the authorisation to the immigration authorities.
Tourists are allowed to benefit from this facility twice during a calendar year, said the embassy, which has posted all details on its website.
