Hneifat reviews National Plan for Sustainable Agriculture

AMMAN — Agriculture Minister Khalid Hneifat on Saturday discussed the National Plan for Sustainable Agriculture (2022-2025) with agriculture officials from the country and region.

Hneifat emphasised the importance of coordinating efforts to overcome challenges and implement the plan through “clear, shared frameworks”. Hneifat added that the ministry has committed to implementing the plan to build the necessary infrastructure to revitalise the sector and promote private sector participation, in addition to optimising water use which would increase the value of exports.

The minister also called for continued communication to evaluate progress, identify challenges, and develop tools and methods aimed to assure that the plan is implemented as intended.
