Hmoud first woman to be appointed head of legislation bureau

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Thursday decided to appoint Fidaa Hmoud as president of the Legislation and Opinion Bureau.
Hmoud, who is the first woman to assume such a post, holds a master’s degree in civil law and a higher diploma in legal sciences, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
She was a judge at the Amman Court of Appeals, president of the west Amman preliminary court and a judge in several courts, in addition to her being senator in the current Senate.
