His Majesty stresses need for modernising CDD operations

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, visited the Civil Defence Directorate (CDD) headquarters on Monday and checked on its services.

During the visit, King Abdullah met with CDD Director Maj. Gen. Mustafa Bazaiah and stressed the need to continue the process of developing and modernising CDD operations, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty was briefed by Bazaiah on the directorate’s strategy and development plans, including opening new CDD centres in various governorates and providing them with qualified personnel and the latest equipment, in line with its mission to safeguard public safety.

The King was also shown CDD equipment and machinery used for relief and rescue, as well as the newly introduced boats used in water rescue operations, the statement said.

His Majesty expressed pride in CDD personnel for their professionalism, the Royal Court added.

Adviser to His Majesty for Communication and Coordination Bisher Al Khasawneh accompanied His Majesty on the visit.
