AMMAN — The Higher Education Council on Thursday approved measures related to the final exams of medicine and dental students, instructing Jordanian universities to conduct the 2019-2020 second semester’s final exams for first- to third-year students on campuses after resuming in-person classes.
In terms of fourth- and fifth-year students, the council noted in a statement that universities will conduct the final or remaining exams after holding two-week courses in clinical training if circumstances permit.
Regarding the grading system for courses that have been disrupted due to the lockdown, the Ministry of Higher Education said that students will be permitted to choose whether their university classes will be graded on a pass/fail basis or via the standard grading scale, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
