Hawari, Italian ambassador talk health cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Health Feras Al Hawari and Italian Ambassador to Jordan Luciano Pezzotti met on Wednesday and discussed means to advancing health cooperation between the countries.
Hawari highlighted a number of top-priority projects that have been incorporated into the ministry's strategic three-year plan, expressing willingness to join hands with the Italian side to implement them, as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
These projects include training programmes for healthcare workers and the upgrading of healthcare facilities across the Kingdom. The diplomat voiced his country's keenness to support the Health Ministry's efforts, expressing thanks to the ministry's staff, notably at Al Bashir Hospital, for treating two Italian doctors who sustained car accident injuries last month in Petra.
