Governorate councils to receive buildings ‘as soon as possible’ — MCD

AMMAN — Members of the Ministerial Committee on Decentralisation (MCD) on Thursday said they would provide buildings to governorate councils as soon as possible to facilitate their work.
During their first meeting, the committee members discussed means to overcome any obstacles facing the decentralisation process, highlighting the importance of field visits by the ministerial economic team to check on the development and investment status in each governorate, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
They stressed the need to speed up procedures to transfer authorities from ministers to directors of government departments in governorates.
