AMMAN — The Goodwill Campaign, a Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development initiative, on Wednesday provided assistance to a number of underprivileged families in Al Mushrif village, in Mafraq.

The campaign distributed food packages, blankets, stoves and free fuel vouchers to 60 beneficiaries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

HRH Princess Basma, president of the Goodwill Campaign’s higher committee, stressed the campaign’s dedication on improving household living standards across the Kingdom.

She also underscored that the humanitarian mission of the campaign is to better living conditions for all Jordanians, households and individuals and enable holistic development and progress.

The Princess visited some of the families’ houses to check on their living conditions.

Apart from aid packages and in-cash assistance, Petra said the campaign would work on providing other means of support through its various channels.

Chief among the efforts announced are facilitations for local citizens with disabilities and maintenance operations for some of the houses.

Meanwhile, residents of the village demanded development projects to aid in efforts to reduce poverty and unemployment in the region.

Director of Princess Basma’s development centres in Mafraq Wedad Shraideh said that 27 families benefited from the productive projects enabled by the campaign’s partnership with Qatar Charity.
