AMMAN — The State Security Court (SSC) Attorney General Brig. Gen. Hazem Majali on Thursday issued a gag order restricting the publication of any news related to the tobacco case, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The gag order includes restricting the publication of any information that interferes with the investigation proceedings or mentioning the names of those related to the tobacco case, in order to preserve the confidentiality of the ongoing investigation and ensure that those who do not abide by the gag order be subject to legal accountability.

The tobacco case, for which an investigation was initiated by the public prosecutor at the SSC, is still ongoing.

WHY GAG ORDER??? THIS IS A CASE OF PURE CLIMINAL LAW, FRAUD AND PUBLIC HEALTH ENDENGERMENT AND NOT A NATIONAL SECURITY CASE AND SO THE CITIZENS HAS THE RIGHTS TO KNOW WHO DID WHAT AND HOW. THIS IS A STRAIGHT CASE AND BY INTERFERING WITH IT BY GAG ORDER WILL SURELY RESULT IN SPECULATIONS AND ALLEGATIONS OF , YOU KNOW IT. THIS DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL.
