Freihat receives Malaysian army delegation

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Thursday received commander of the Malaysian Special Forces, Major Gen. Detk Hassan Bin Ali and the commander of the Mauritanian Land Forces, Lt. Gen. Mohammed Sheikh Amein.

Freihat discussed the latest regional and international developments, the 12th session of the 2018 Special Operations Forces Exhibition 2018 (SOFEX), which specialises in defence and operational industries and national security, as well as prospects of cooperation and coordination in military-related issues.

He also reviewed Jordan's role in ensuring stability in the region and combating terrorism and extremism, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
