AMMAN — The Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC) on Thursday decided to permit foreign refrigerating trucks to load agricultural products for a limited time to allow exporters and importers to honour their commitments.
The decision was made after Agriculture Minister Khaled Hneifat toured vegetable preparing and packing centres at the central market, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
LTRC Director General Salah Lozi said that the government follows up closely on sectors that support the development, including the fruit and vegetable exporters and transport sectors, noting that stakeholder had held a meeting to ensure uninterrupted vegetable exports to Gulf countries.
