AMMAN — Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Friday participated in a panel on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. During the session on Iraq and Syria, Safadi outlined Jordan’s stand towards regional peace and stability with a focus on the Palestinian and the Syrian issues.
The top diplomat stressed that Jordan backs any effort that could lead to end hostilities and launch a political process, noting the importance of the upcoming Astana conference on Syria.
For rebuilding the war-torn country, the minister said plans should include rehabilitating and educating Syrian refugees to enable them to participate in the reconstruction process.
