Safadi also held talks with Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu covering strengthening cooperation in the trade and investment fields.

The Jordanian foreign minister also extended appreciation to the Moldovan government for facilitating the crossing of Jordanians from Ukraine in February and March.

In a meeting with Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto, Safadi focused on "expanding horizons of cooperation" between the two countries in various fields within the Jordan-EU partnership.

The meeting dealt with regional and international developments as well as efforts exerted to resolve crises and deal with their humanitarian consequences, the statement said.

The two ministers agreed to continue coordination and develop bilateral cooperation.
