FM conveys King’s greetings to Pope Francis in phone call with Archbishop Gallagher

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, in a phone call with Vatican's Secretary for Relations with States Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah to Pope Francis and His Majesty's wishes for a speedy recovery.

Safadi and Archbishop Gallagher discussed bilateral relations and a number of issues of mutual concern, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

The two ministers affirmed joint keenness to continue consultation and coordination within the framework of the historical relations that bind the Kingdom and the Vatican, as well as intensify joint efforts to achieve security, stability and peace in the region.
