First ambassador to Cyprus presents credentials

AMMAN — Jordan’s first resident ambassador to Cyprus, Mohammad Sharari Al Fayez, on Tuesday presented his credentials to the Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Fayez conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah’s greetings to the president and to the people of Cyprus. For his part, Anastasiades expressed his gratitude to Jordan for opening an embassy in Nicosia, which highlights “the strength of bilateral ties”, Petra quoted the Cypriot leader as saying.
The president said he had instructed his government to facilitate Fayez’s mission. He also asked the Jordanian envoy to deliver his well wishes to the King and to the people of Jordan, according to Petra.
