Fayez meets with Japan ambassador

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Monday met with Japan’s Ambassador to Jordan Hidenao Yanagi over bolstering mutual partnerships and cooperation, notably in economic, tourism and investment fields.

Talks during the meeting went over the latest regional developments and means of ending crises, mainly those related to the Palestinian cause, with Fayez reiterating Jordan's support for Palestinian rights to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, stressing that a two-state solution is the way to end the Arab-Israeli conflict, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Japanese envoy valued the kingdom’s humanitarian role of hosting refugees and ensuring them a decent life, expressing appreciation for the efforts of the Jordanian leadership towards enhancing regional security and stability.

He also emphasised Tokyo's commitment to supporting Jordan in various fields and maintaining coordination and coordination in service of the nations’ interests.
