AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Sunday called for unified messaging among Arab media to defend Arab causes and confront attempts to destabilise the nation's security and stability.
During a meeting with 30 journalists from 11 Arab countries who are taking part in the "Role of Media in Promoting Dialogue" training conference, held by Al Hayat Centre for Civil Society Development (Rased) in cooperation with the International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID), Fayez emphasised the importance of promoting cultural dialogue to enhance commonalities and counter incitement, violence, extremism and racism.
He also drew attention to the need for Arab media centres to steer public opinion, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
