Electricity Workers Union settles dispute with Jordanian Electric Company

AMMAN — The Lower House’s Labour, Social Development and Population Committee on Thursday settled a dispute between the Electricity Workers Union and the Jordanian Electric Power Company (JEPCO).
The agreement was reached at a committee meeting held in the presence of head of the House’s Energy Committee MP Ali Khalaileh and Labour Minister Ali Ghezawi, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
MP Khaled Fanatsah, the head of the labour panel, said Ali Hadid, the union’s president, and JEPCO Director General Marwan Bushnaq signed an agreement stipulating an increase in the cost of living allowance by JD25, based on 15 salaries per year.
