Dudin visits Media Commission

AMMAN — The government’s vision for media is based on providing media outlets with information and facts at the desired pace to refute rumours and fake news, Minister of State for Media Affairs Sakher Dudin said on Sunday.

During his visit to the Media Commission, Dudin said that the new media has become an integral part of media system, which necessitates accuracy in dissemination of information on social media platforms.

He noted that social media content-related studies have shown that the spread of false information and rumours is six times higher than that of the correct information.
