AMMAN — Defendants pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to charges of forming an “association of wrongdoers” during a hearing at the State Security Court.
The five defendants from Jerash Refugee Camp are being tried for involvement in organised crime by shooting and terrorising camp residents, according to the charge sheet.
They also burnt and destroyed vehicles in January 2014, the charge sheet added.
The court session was adjourned to hear the testimonies of prosecution witnesses.
The suspects have been in detention since mid-January.
