AMMAN — A Cabinet decision related to the allowances of government representatives on boards of companies fully or partially owned by the state went into effect on Wednesday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The allowances for government representatives will be deposited in a special account that belongs to the Finance Ministry.

Under the decision, the representatives will receive equal monthly compensations even if they are members on more than one board, while the surplus money will be sent to the Treasury. The Council of Ministers approved disbursing JD300-JD500 in monthly compensations to government representatives on company boards.
