Culture minister mourns death of actor Ashraf Tolfah

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Monday said that it was following up on the case of Jordanian actor Ashraf Tolfah after an attack by unidentified persons that resulted in his death.
Tolfah was admitted to the ICU of an Egyptian hospital on Saturday following the incident which is still being investigated by the Egyptian authorities, according to a ministry statement.
Ministry Spokesperson Sinan Majali said that the ministry has been in direct contact with the Jordanian embassy in Cairo since it received news of the actor's hospitalisation.
On Monday afternoon, Culture Minister Haifa Najjar mourned the death of Tolfah, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Najjar along with President of the Jordanian Actors Association, Mohammed Abbadi expressed condolences to Tolfah's family.
