AMMAN — Three people died in Irbid’s Kufur Jayez on Saturday when their vehicle overturned on the road to Beit Ras, the Civil Defence Department (CDD) said.

Also on Saturday, six people sustained mild to critical injuries in a two-car collision in Irbid Governorate, some 80km north of Amman.

“Four others were injured in a collision that took place in Jerash,” a CDD official added, noting that the CDD staff administered first aid to the injured and took them to hospital.

In the previous 24 hours, 92 people were injured in 216 accidents across the Kingdom, the CDD said.

“No deaths were reported in the accidents in question,” the CDD source told The Jordan Times, adding that they included road accidents and fires.

In addition, CDD cadres responded to 505 medical emergencies during the same period.

They also dealt with 231 accidents that resulted in 165 injuries on Thursday and Friday.

On Wednesday, four people died and 66 were injured in 206 accidents and fires across the Kingdom.
