AMMAN — The board of trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), chaired by HRH Princess Ghida Talal, has decided to accept the resignation of HH Princess Dina Mired from her position as the foundation’s director general, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The board thanked the princess for all her efforts over the past 14 years and for her achievements in supporting cancer patients.

The board of trustees also appointed Nisreen Qatamish as deputy director general, holding the authority of a director general and representing the KHCF locally and internationally until a new director is appointed.

Qatamish joined the foundation in 2008 and is currently the director of the breast cancer programme. Princess Ghida said the KHCF’s priority will always be providing the best treatment and services to patients.
